CSLW-N114 - Introduction to Screenwriting This course is an introduction to screenwriting for short screenplays. Through lectures, group discussions, and critiques, students will engage with the fundamentals of cinematic storytelling, such as character arcs, plot, structure, subplot, subtext, pacing, and dialogue. As a process-oriented course, students should develop their own, 5-10 minute screenplay with the goal of completing a first draft by the end of the course. No previous screenwriting experience necessary.
