Terms and Conditions

Payment for rental is due seven (7) days prior to the rental for Picnic Shelter and Recreation Centre Rentals
Payment for rental is due 24 hours prior to the rental for Arena Rentals

  • All renters must be 18 years of age or older
  • No Alcohol is permitted anywhere on the premises
  • No Smoking (including E-Cigarettes) is permitted anywhere in the building or outdoor picnic shelter or within 10 ft of any entrances
  • Vehicles are not permitted on park grounds except with prior approval
  • Open flames are not permitted (except for candles on a Birthday cake) unless fully enclosed in a non-flammable container
  • Games of chance, lottery, or gambling in any form, contrary to law is strictly forbidden
  • Facilities must be left in clean condition
    A minimum $50 cleaning fee will be charged if facilities are not left clean
    • Garbage properly disposed of
    • Floors swept and spot mopped
    • Counters wiped
    • Table and chairs wiped
    • Lock up Canteen if applicable

Rental Keys

Rental Keys will be available for pick up or in a lock box with a code you will be given depending on facility location. Keys are to be returned by the end of your booking.

Damage Deposits

A damage deposit is required prior to your rental in the Recreation Centre and Picnic Shelters. You may make a cheque out to the RM of Hanover or provide your credit card information. Cheques or Credit Card information will be destroyed after the rental is complete. Damage deposit amounts are as follows:

  • Recreation Centre - $100.00
  • Picnic Shelters - $50.00

Cancellation Policy

Notice of rental cancellation must be made to the Hanover Recreation Department at 204-346-7133 or holly.malleck@hanovermb.ca seven (7) days prior to rental to be eligible for refund. Refunds are subject to an admin fee.

Late cancellation is not eligible for a refund. Some exceptions may be made for cancellations due to extreme weather or illness and will be assessed.

I agree and am bound by the above Terms and Conditions. Should there be a violation of any of the above stated terms and conditions I understand and agree that I will vacate the premises and I shall pay any additional charges necessary arising out of violation of any of the above stated terms and conditions.

I agree for myself and all other persons I permit to use the facilities pursuant to this rental agreement, that the Rural Municipality of Hanover is not liable for anything that may happen to anyone or anything in or around the rented facility arising out of the rental and the function held.

By paying for your facility rental, you are agreeing and are bound by the terms and conditions of this document.

Any change from these terms and conditions must have written approval from the Municipality of Hanover.

Failure to follow the terms and conditions outlined by the Rural Municipality of Hanover may result in rental cancellation and/or refusal of future rentals.

*Please be advised that all facilities are required to follow the current Health Orders for the province of Manitoba.
