Cancellation Information

Ice Rental Cancellation

a) The Arena may cancel ice time at any time in the event of Tournaments, Special Events and Playoff Games. For other cancellation situations, the Arena management, whenever possible, will notify the representative 48 hours prior to the said canceled ice time.

b) If the Renter wishes to cancel ice time on any particular day, the Renter shall give 7 days’ notice in writing to the Arena Manager at arena@burksfalls.ca. If the required notice is not given the representative shall be responsible for payment of said ice time. The ONLY exception to this rule will be PLAYOFF ICE where the possibility of requiring an extra game depends on if the team wins or loses.

c) Any cancellations caused by storms and flooding, power failure, Act of God or business interruption caused by mechanical failure of the Arenas facilities, will be considered unavoidable and the representative will not be charged for cancellations of that nature.

d) The Corporation of Armour Ryerson & Burk’s Falls reserves the right to cancel this contract for just cause. Non-compliance with the terms of this permit will also result in the cancellation of this permit.

e) In the event either party is unable to perform its obligations under the terms of this agreement because of an Act of God, unrest, strikes, equipment or transmission failure or damage beyond its control after appropriate action or other causes reasonably beyond its control, such party shall not be liable for damages to the other for any damages resulting from such failure to perform or otherwise from such causes.

Hall and Room Payment and Cancellation

Payment: 50% of the hall rental will be required at the time of booking. Final payment must be made 2 weeks before the date of the event. Payment can be made by cheque, Debit and cash.

Cancellation: Cancellation will only be accepted up to 14 days prior to the event. Cancellation after this time will result in forfeiting of the pre-paid rental fee.

In the event either party is unable to perform its obligations under the terms of this agreement because of an Act of God, unrest, strikes, equipment or transmission failure or damage beyond its control after appropriate action or other causes reasonably beyond its control, such party shall not be liable for damages to the other for any damages resulting from such failure to perform or otherwise from such causes.

The Village of Burk’s Falls reserves the right to cancel this contract for just cause.
