Brighton Parks and Recreation Department
The Parks and Recreation Department is located in the King Edward Park Arena. This department is responsible for the care and maintenance of flowers, municipal parks, playgrounds, sports fields, trails, arena, tennis courts, bmx trail,a splashpad, a skateboard park, boat launching and docking, and the community centre.
The Municipality partners with various groups who provide a variety of programs and activities for individuals of all ages. These activities include hockey, baseball, soccer, lacrosse and tennis.
Many user groups meet regularly at the King Edward Park Community Centre including quilting, photography, computer club, Lions Cub, Rotary and Probus.
King Edward Park, located at 75 Elizabeth Street is home to the sports fields, picnic shelter, splash park, skateboard park and tennis courts.
Memorial Park, located on Main Street has a gazebo, walk of valour, cenotaph and accessible picnic tables.
There are three marinas in Brighton: Bay Street (with docking and boat launch), Ontario Street (boat launch) and the Presquile Government Docks (for overnight and short-term docking).
